How AI Biz Wiz Works: Understanding Differentiator Coverage

What Is Differentiator Coverage?

When you set up your brand in AI Biz Wiz, you defined differentiators—the unique qualities that set your business apart. Differentiator coverage shows you how well AI platforms recognize and mention these qualities.

High coverage means AI "gets" what makes you special. Low coverage means there's a gap between how you see your business and how AI represents it.

Viewing Your Differentiator Coverage

In your scan results, the Differentiator Coverage section shows which of your unique qualities AI platforms are picking up on.

Reading the Coverage Numbers

Each differentiator displays three numbers in the format: a / b / c

For example, you might see: 3 / 7 / 50

Here's what each number means:

First Number (Green): Your Mentions

How many times this differentiator was mentioned specifically about your business. This is the most important number—it tells you when AI directly associates this quality with you.

Second Number: Total Mentions

How many times this differentiator was mentioned in total, including:

  • Mentions about your business
  • Mentions about competitors
  • Generic mentions of the quality

Third Number: Total Results

How many AI responses were analyzed. This gives you context for the percentages.

The Star Icon

When your first number (your mentions) is greater than zero, you'll see a star icon. This indicates that AI has associated this differentiator with your brand at least once.

Interpreting the Numbers

Strong Coverage

Example: 8 / 12 / 50

This differentiator appeared in 12 out of 50 responses, and 8 of those mentions were specifically about your brand. AI strongly associates this quality with you.

Gap Opportunity

Example: 2 / 15 / 50

This differentiator appeared in 15 responses, but only 2 mentioned it about you. The quality is being discussed, but mostly about competitors or generically. There's an opportunity to strengthen this association.

Missing Coverage

Example: 0 / 5 / 50

This differentiator appeared 5 times, but never about you. AI knows this quality matters in your category but doesn't associate it with your business.

Not Discussed

Example: 0 / 0 / 50

This differentiator never came up in any responses. Either it's not relevant to the queries being asked, or AI platforms don't have information about this quality for your category.

The Legend

Below the differentiator cards, you'll find a legend explaining the three numbers:

  • First number = Mentioned about your brand
  • Second number = Total mentions (including generic)
  • Third number = Total results tested

Viewing Recommended Actions

Based on your differentiator coverage gaps, AI Biz Wiz generates recommendations for improving your visibility.

How Recommendations Work

Recommendations are generated based on:

  • Which differentiators have low or no coverage
  • Your industry and category
  • Common patterns in successful visibility

Each recommendation includes:

  • Priority level: High, medium, or low based on potential impact
  • Action type: What kind of action is needed (e.g., update website, improve listings)
  • Specific guidance: Tailored advice for your situation

Recommendations are informational—use them as a starting point for your visibility improvement efforts.

Using Coverage Data Effectively

Focus on Gaps with Volume

If a differentiator shows 0 / 20 / 50, that's a bigger opportunity than 0 / 2 / 50. The quality is being discussed frequently—you just need to get your brand into the conversation.

Celebrate Strong Coverage

Differentiators where your mentions match or exceed total mentions (like 5 / 5 / 50) show that AI platforms understand this is YOUR quality. This is your competitive advantage in AI search.

Consider Relevance

If a differentiator shows 0 / 0 / 50, it may not be relevant to how people search in your category. Consider whether this differentiator matters for AI visibility, or if it's more relevant to other channels.
